Radiohead/Crush The Pearl (2011)
An ensemble piece set to Radiohead and Thom York songs that takes the audience on an emotional ride from exaggerated perfection to the breaking down of personal armor under which we hide our true essence. Though CTP sounds like the destruction of something beautiful, when the beauty is only artifice, crushing it may be the only way home to ourselves.
Performed at Dance New Amsterdam. Danced by Courtney Baron, Dorian Cervantes, Courtney Jo Drasner, Christina Johnson, Gabriel Malo, Lily Ockwel, Tsubasa Ogawa, and Julie Smith.

Tom Rossi Band (2003-2005)
Tom Rossi’s band played around town and the POON dancers went with them, usually dancing to 2 or 3 songs per set. Some dances were from the POON Show, others were new dances inspired by the old ones. Finding a place to boogie in and around the band at Sine or at Club Luxx, dancing knee deep in the water at the old Galapagos, roaming through the audience in the LES at The Livingroom, or finding our groove at Bar Sputnik in Brooklyn, we made the rock band experience a ‘moving’ one.

Jordana Che Toback
Well babe, It all started in 1971 (Jordana, year 3) when I discovered my passion for lip synching to Shirley Temple's "The Good Ship Lollypop" on my parents fireplace. I am told I put on quite the show and have been lucky enough to support myself in a similar fashion since the early 90's... more »
